Biblical Perspective on Time – Lecture Slides

Writer: Joel HarderJoel Harder

The Bible tells us that we can take our present day lives and exchange them for an eternal future. We can live in a way that stores up treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:20). Jesus then commands us to go an make disciples (Matthew 28:19), a clear directive and a bold objective. Peter and the other early church leaders herald that we are now a chosen people and a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). This is the identity which the Christian carries with them into every facet of their lives and corner of the earth.

Destiny \\ Objective \\ Identity

Here is the problem, how do we find the time to live up to this destiny and accomplish the objective when we are already too busy to do all the things we already are doing?

Consider this, Dawson writes that,

There is no conflict between the objective God gives us to accomplish and the time He gives us to accomplish it.

That simple sentence is a maxim that can change your life. Every day of your life.
